At a recent meeting of representatives from independent retailers in Ludlow, local MP Phillip Dunne chaired a meeting which highlighted the importance of independent retailers in the high street.

Shrewsbury based BeVivid is launching an e-commerce software package to town centres across the UK. To "kick off" the launch members of the Shrewsbury based Internet marketing company entered their team into the recent Chamber 5-a-side Power League competition at Shrewsbury Town Football Club. ATLS ATHLETICO, as they are known, got into the spirit of the contest and played 5 games but it was quickly realised that the team should stick to programming.
All The Little Shops™ is an online e-business solution for town and city centres which also helps drive retail footfall into the town centre and allows independent retailers an opportunity to raise awareness of their product and services. At the same time ATLS allows these important retailers to trade online and compete on a level playing field with online multiple retailers.
Peter Riches, managing director of the local company said, "It has taken us over 18 months to develop this software - it is a first for Town Centres and a First in the UK. We have piloted the scheme in Shrewsbury and are now ready to go live nationally. The Chamber has been a great networking opportunity to introduce All the Little Shops, with presentations to Chamber members in Ludlow, Bridgnorth and Hereford. I was recently invited to the Thames Valley Chamber as a guest and from that meeting Swindon Town Centre has shown positive interest in the scheme. It is great to have such positive feedback."

Once established across the country there will also be great advertising and sponsorship opportunities which will be a real benefit to local business. All The Little Shops / Shrewsbury is already getting over 500 unique visitors a day to the website and we are already at the top of page one on Google. Local Businesses are attracting new customers - one music shop even sold a £600 cello to Reykjavík Iceland last month." Says Riches
