All the Little Shops - Ensuring vitality in town centres

All the Little Shops (ATLS) offers a unique package to the smaller, independent businesses – the soul of our town centres - to address the challenges facing many towns throughout the United Kingdom.

It sets itself apart from other opportunities and schemes as it provides a partnership approach to protecting the small business sector, enhancing footfall, building loyalty, creating web based trading opportunities and above all, developing overall vibrancy and vitality within town centres.

With more than 10 years experience marketing Town Centre Centres, Tourist Destinations, Shopping Centres and Retail Parks throughout the UK and by working with Town Centre Management, All the Little Shops have developed their unique package to specifically meet the needs of independent retailers, restaurateurs, licensees and other businesses.

Initially piloted in Shrewsbury with seed funding from Shropshire Enterprise Partnership, Retailers United and local businesses the system is now fully operational. Following the successful pilot, ATLS was unveiled to town centre managers in June 2008 at the Association of Town Centre Management (ATCM) Summer School in Liverpool and has been enhanced further to meet client demand for a more inclusive package which now includes:

• Printable discount vouchers that drive footfall into the independent retailers businesses


• A shop window which can list up to 50 products of every independent retailer in your town


• An e-commerce facility that attracts additional business from afar – with secure payment gateway


• A fully integrated loyalty card for independent retailers in town centres that uses wireless smart card technology with full reporting facilities


• An automated monthly promotional e-newsletter sent to registered shoppers to advise where the best deals are in town


• Full marketing and launch support

The timing of this project has coincided with a real need to help independent retailers. ATLS are committed to help the “The Soul of Town Centres” and are members of the Association of Town Centre Management, Federation of Small Businesses, Chamber of Commerce and registered national consultants with Business Link.
